SICILY. Akragas. Circa 470/465-440s BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 17.46 g, 4 h). AKRAC-ANTOΣ Eagle standing left with closed wings. Rev. Crab within shallow circular incuse. SNG ANS 970 (same obverse die). SNG Lloyd 800 (same dies). Westermark 337.7 (O8/R27, this coin). An attractive and well pedigreed example of fine style. Flan fault and a light die break on the reverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
